Egyptian Goddesses - O, P, Q & R
Qetesh
Originally believed to be a Syrian deity, Qetesh was a goddess of love
and beauty. She was depicted as a beautiful nude woman, standing or riding
upon a lion; holding flowers, a mirror, or serpents. She is generally
shown full-face which was unusual in Egyptian artistic convention. She
was considered to be one of the forms of Hathor. She was also considered
the consort of the god Min, the god of virility. |
Renenet
Egypt's Lady of the Double Granary. Goddess of suckling, who gave each
baby its ren (secret name-soul) along with its mother's milk.
