tengu               

A Japanese spirit. They are winged creatures with large noses or beaks, known to be part human and part bird. They are known to mischievous rather than evil, they enjoy playing tricks on humans. However, if the tables are turned and tricks are played on them, they become extremely angry.

triton               

The son of Poseidon and Amphitrite, this merman was often depicted with a horn or conch shell. With this trumpet he could raise or calms storms. Of Lybian origin, Triton shared the gift of prophecy with Nereus and Proteus. Losing individual identity, he became a class of sea-beings, tritons and mermen, able to venture onto land.

troll               

Originally, trolls were elemental giants. In Norse mythology, trolls were known as dim-witted gigantic man eating creatures who lived in caverns in the mountain and hollow hills. They were ugly and quite evil. Fighting along side the giants in the battle of Ragnorok. These Trolls would be turned to stone if they were hit by the sun. They guarded treasure and were good a metal-working. They eventually evolved into dwarf-like beings who lived in subterranean caverns and were not as strong or bloodthirsty as their predecessors. They are still a threat however as they still like to steal women and children, and are now more intelligent than their ancestors.

tuatha de danann               

Form the Irish meaning Children of the Goddess Danu, Tuatha de Danann is probably the most important race of færies. The had a monarchical society, and they were a magical race. The Tuatha de Danann flew into Ireland with their four magical possessions: The Lia Fail (stone of destiny), the spear of their warrior god Lug, the sword of Nuadu, and the inexhaustible cauldron of the god good the Dagda. They banished the Firbolg and defeated the demonic Fomorians. Many centuries later they were defeated and driven to their otherworldly kingdom, Tir nan Og by the Milesians. There in Tir nan Og, they remain ageless and beautiful, still practicing magic. Many think that all færies are descended from the race of Tuatha de Danann.

typhon               

A fire breathing giant with 100 serpentine heads, Typhon was taller than mountains with serpentine legs and thighs and had a feathered and winged body. He fathered on Echinda such beasts as Cerberus, Orthus, the Chimera, the Hydra, the sphinx, the vulture that ate Prometheus' liver, and the Nemean Lion.
